“There are no laws for the novel. There never have been, nor can there ever be.” —Doris Lessing

This narrative project is about a difficult life-choice that I once had to make, which had high risks involved with the decision. Within the past couple of years, I have made many choices that have truly impacted my life and my thought process going into difficult situations that could be potentially life altering or even deadly at times.
Surprisingly, I felt like I had many options of what I could write about starting with how my family can distract me while I am writing, talked about in Composing a Present Scene. Then after some thought I didn’t think the story would grab people’s attention enough because it was just a story about my family being loud and obnoxious with me narrating about how mad I get about certain little things. The next idea I had, which I wrote about in Composing a Present Scene with Dialog and Symbolism, was a bit more appealing to the reader but made me feel like I was describing my mother like she was a monster. Thinking in context to my narrative project made me think about another life changing thing that has happened to me like when I had over three hundred dollars taken from my special hiding spot. I chose to not write about this as my Narrative project because I didn’t want a big part of my website talking about something that happened over six years ago and was one of the most demoralizing Scene’s that I’ve had in my life. Being that it was one of the most demoralizing moments of my life I had to write about it and so I did and posted it on my blog calling it “Composing a Past Scene.” After thinking of all these ideas I finally came to a conclusion on what I wanted to write about. It was the time that I had my first entrepreneurial venture.
Here I provide an introduction to my narrative project and links to the relevant blog posts that served as part of my writing process.
